Home / Life and Legacy / Final Expense
Don't leave the funeral bill to your kids.
A final expense policy pays a tax-free cash benefit to the person you choose, within days, so the funeral, the last medical bills and the credit cards are handled without anyone reaching into savings.

What it costs to say goodbye
A funeral with a burial in Texas commonly runs $8,000 to $12,000 once the plot, headstone and service are included. Cremation is less, often $4,000 to $7,000. Add final medical bills and a few months of household expenses and $15,000 to $25,000 is a realistic target.
Most of our clients choose between $10,000 and $25,000 of coverage. Premiums depend on age, gender and health, and they are locked in for life the day the policy starts.
How it works
- No medical exam. A few health questions, or none for guaranteed issue plans.
- Premiums never increase and coverage never decreases.
- The policy cannot be cancelled because of age or health.
- The benefit is paid directly to your beneficiary, tax-free, usually within days.
For adult children helping a parent
You can be the payer and the beneficiary on a policy for your parent, with their consent. Many families set this up together on one call. It keeps the conversation practical instead of painful, and it means the money is there when the time comes.
Simplified issue vs guaranteed issue
Simplified issue plans ask a few health questions and cover you from day one at the best rates. Guaranteed issue plans ask nothing and accept everyone in the age range, but cost more and usually have a two-year waiting period for natural causes. We start with simplified issue and only move to guaranteed if health history requires it.
