Home / Health Under 65 / Dental, Vision and Supplemental
Coverage that fills the gaps.
These plans are not a replacement for major medical insurance. They are the pieces that pay cash when something happens, or cover the things a health plan leaves out. Most approve in days with few or no health questions.

Dental
Cleanings, fillings, crowns and often dentures or implants after a waiting period. Bought by people on Medicare Supplement plans, Marketplace plans without dental, and families whose employer plan doesn't include it.
Vision
Yearly exams, glasses or contacts, and discounts on procedures. Inexpensive and usually bundled with dental.
Hospital indemnity
Pays you a fixed cash amount per day in the hospital, on top of whatever your health plan pays. Popular with Medicare Advantage members to offset daily hospital copays, and with families on high-deductible plans.
Accident
Cash payments for injuries: ER visits, fractures, stitches, follow-up care. Common for active families and anyone with a high deductible.
Cancer and critical illness
A lump-sum payment on diagnosis of cancer, heart attack, stroke and other listed conditions. Covers what health insurance doesn't: lost income, travel, the mortgage.
Short-term medical
Temporary coverage for a gap between jobs or before a Marketplace plan starts. Not available in every state, doesn't cover pre-existing conditions, and is not a long-term substitute for a real health plan. We tell you when it fits and when it doesn't.
